Amani's 1st Beeday

Mornings,

So we did a "BEE" party over the weekend for the most gorgeous little girl, Amani, who turned 1!
We used the pastel colours of yellow and green which were quite nice and light for a 1yr old's birthday party.

Here are a few pics of the day. Enjoy!

Little Amani enjoying the jumping castle

"Cheetah" jumping castle (this was as close as we were going to get to the theme of the black and yellow bee)

We also had a fun obstacle course to keep the little one's entertained throughout the party

 Her name in the flowerbed

We created a mini garden with gnomes and sunflowers that had little bees stuck on them

A pic of her birthday cake as well as the cupcakes that had the little bees on them

Instead of laying out the tables and chairs for the kiddies, we did a picnic area for them

Kids love candy! We had the colours of the candy match the decor and we personalised the candy jars

My favourite part of the decor was this beautiful bicycle. We decorated the bicycle with little bees and filled it with honey jars for the kids to take home with them.

We also had baskets filled with bottles of apple juice. These bottles were personalised as well

Some more candy treats

Old school cars with jelly tots and smarties

a very happy bee!!! :O)

We did different party packs for the boys and girls. The boys got these animal bags filled with party goodies and the girls got lovely themed baskets to take home with them

This is a pic of the "dress up" corner - this is always a winner with the little girls. This part of the garden was decorated with chinese balls and butterfly wings

A little bee resting on a chinese ball

Some pics of the personalised cooldrinks

There's always an adult that feels the need to relive their childhood

The opening of the gifts

My gorgeous Godchild, Tyler. I just couldnt resist posting this pic of him - he had just woken up

What a beautiful day. The birthday girl had so much fun that she couldn't keep her eyes open.
I hope you all enjoyed the pics.

JAX AND CLAIRE'S BABY SHOWER - NAUTICAL THEME - 3 SEPT 2011

Hey guys

Two of my good friends are having a baby together!!!! :). We are so eager to welcome baby "Noah" into the world and this weekend passed we put together a baby shower to show this baby and his mamma's how much we all care about them.

It was such a joyous and memorable occasion shared by so many friends and family. It was so much fun planning with one of the Granny's to be (Mr S) together with aunties and friends. I could really see how loved these three are by the amount of people that wanted to help and make this a truly fantastic and unforgettable day for them. After some meetings, e-mails and a bit of red wine the baby shower plans were well on its way.

We all enjoyed the brunch cocktail snacks and the opening of the gifts and a few games. There were many oooh's and aaah's while opening gifts. While we were all enjoying ourselves and this wonderful occasion, we managed to raise some funds for a charity that is dear to Claire and Jackie's hearts, Ithemba House. Many of the guests made a monetary contribution that will be handed over to the house in celebration of Noah's birth.

Below are a few pics that were taken the night before (prepping) and on the day. I hope you guys enjoy!

Guests were greeted with mimosas on arrival. The champagne glasses were decorated with little themed charms.

As the guests left they each received a themed cupcake that was packaged and decorated with beautiful dummies, ribbons and thank you notes. The guests also received mini chocolate slabs and water bottles that were wrapped in the themed wrapping.

We also did a mobile that reflected all Noah's scans. It's so cute because it shows him giving us the "Peace" sign, hiding from the paprazzi and his cute little fat feet :)
